At Happy Chatter, each school-based Speech Therapy session is delivered by an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) under the careful supervision of a qualified Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist. Every intervention is tailored to the unique needs and goals of the child, guided by professional expertise. To ensure that each therapy plan is effective and purposeful, we conduct an initial in-clinic screening for each child, allowing us to craft a personalised, focused treatment plan.
Flexible and Goal-Oriented School Visits
Our Speech Therapy school visits can be scheduled on a weekly or fortnightly basis, depending on your child’s therapy goals and the school’s preferences. We work with families and schools to select therapy goals that can be effectively supported in the school environment. Not all goals are suited for the school setting, so our team ensures that school-based sessions are both practical and impactful for the child.
Cost-Effective Scheduling and Travel Management
To keep our services convenient and affordable, we coordinate schedules so that multiple children at the same school can receive therapy on the same day, reducing travel time and lowering associated travel costs.
A travel cost is added for each school visit, calculated on a pro-rata basis based on the AHA’s therapy fee. For instance, when two children are seen on the same day at the same school, the travel cost is split between families. If a session is cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice, the remaining family will cover the full travel cost for that week. This system ensures fairness while providing reliable access to therapy.
